"HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY"!!!!
Greetings! I hope everyone enjoyed wearing O' the green last weekend!!!
I'm half Irish and historically St. Patrick's Day mean't lots of green beer and all the traditional food!
I still celebrate the day but now I make plans ahead of time so I don't undermine my program. About a week before I stepped up my walking and exercise program and paid special attention to my food intake.
As you know my normal weight is 225 pounds. I weigh myself everyday and on St. Patrick's Day I weighed 220 pounds! I had lost 5 pounds going into the holiday. I was very happy.
I had a wonderful meal of corned beef and cabbage with carrots, potatoes and onions! For dessert I had a lovely slice of whole wheat irish soda bread made with currants! Yum.
I was very satisfied and enjoyed the adventure of the special St. Patrick's Day meal.
Well the final score is...................Six days after this wonderful celebration I weigh 222 pounds!! I'm very happy and think I'll celebrate with a slice of Breakfast Blast whole wheat bread with a smear of hummus!!
